Get involved in IHI call 9 - a word from our director

Public-private partnerships deliver transformative solutions to hard research problems. Our projects all have one thing in common – they bring together great minds and complementary resources from academia, healthcare, patients and industry to collaborate on solutions for difficult challenges in public health. This month, we get to hear inspirational stories on how such collaborations accelerate the discovery of new antibiotics and help to replace animal experiments with cell-based methods to ascertain the safety of vaccines.

We think there are many more opportunities for transformational public-private partnerships, and in our call 9 – opening in January next year – we are piloting a new, applicant-driven approach for new IHI projects. If you have a great idea for how we can advance health research with a new collaborative project between industry and public organisations, IHI call 9 is for you.

Building a strong collaborative partnership and a competitive proposal is hard. In the months ahead of the call launch, we are offering a range of opportunities to find partners, build consortia and get your submission right. Do make use of our toolkit for success!
