Sign up for our events this autumn - a word from our director
This month IHI signed its 200th grant agreement, and while the lucky project is UMBRELLA, what we are really celebrating is the long-lasting success of Europe’s unique approach to health innovation where public and private partners come together in large-scale collaborative projects. Many public-private partnerships around the world are about bringing together funding, but what sets IHI apart is that our projects bring together people and expertise from multiple sectors to address important public health needs.
Mental health is a good example of an unmet public health need, so do sign up for our online event to hear how digital technologies can be used to address issues such as social dysfunction in depression, schizophrenia and Alzheimer’s, and how international partnerships are establishing clinical trial networks for novel autism treatments.
Arranging access to high-quality data across sites and countries is critical for most of our projects – and often a complex, time-consuming task. In our upcoming Data Sharing Masterclass, a group of experienced project managers and data scientists from IHI and IMI projects across disciplines will come together to share experiences and recommend best practices. Make sure you sign up and attend – we think their knowledge will be hugely valuable for future projects, in IHI as well as other European programmes.
Finally, if, like me, you find this month’s stories inspiring, make sure you mark the calendar for our brokerage event where you will be able to network face-to-face and find partners for a strong proposal for IHI's future calls.
