The draft topics for IHI call 8 are now available on the Future opportunities page. The topics under consideration for inclusion in the call are:

  • A city-based approach to reducing cardiovascular mortality in Europe
  • Novel endpoints for osteoarthritis (OA) by applying big data analytics
  • Modelling regulatory sandbox mechanisms and enabling their deployment to support breakthrough innovation
  • Patient-centred clinical-study endpoints derived using digital health technologies

The topics are currently under consultation with our States’ Representatives Group (SRG) and Science and Innovation Panel (SIP). They may therefore change considerably between the versions published here and the call launch, and applicants should check the final, approved topic texts once the calls are launched.

Nevertheless, we strongly encourage anyone interested in these topics to start preparing a proposal and get networking with potential partners.

We will publish the final versions of the texts once they have been approved by our Governing Board. We will also organise the IHI Call Days where applicants can learn about the topics plus our rules and procedures and network with one another.

Stay up to date
